Join Gina Salá and Daniel Paul in an intimate, insightful and bliss-filled class geared towards developing and polishing one's unique voice and musical style in kirtan, the ecstatic call and response tradition from India. Gina and Daniel will offer guidance and helpful tips on various aspects of kirtan leading including: vocal care, voice quality, rasa in chanting, compositional tools, plus harmonium, raga singing, drumming and rhythm.
This special Master Class will highlight individual sharing of kirtan by participants with feedback from Gina and Daniel, culminating in a kirtan and music led by participants on Monday night at Gallery 525.
